I am blessed to have a somewhat classical education, and mythologies, especially Greek (and Norse) are lifelong fascinations. My new (old) obsession is learning, comprehending and memorizing the Bible, so naturally a parallel between Greek mythology and The Bible immediately caught my attention. I wasn’t disappointed, isn’t it wonderful how we can sometimes be drawn to information that ultimately leads to understanding ourselves better? The article reveals the parallel / link, and it’s a surprise which delighted me, because I’m also an astrology buff. Love those synchronicities!
Of course, that’s not to say I “buy” the premise/history as presented in the article, it’s just nice food for thought. I tend to lean toward real history having been contaminated / manipulated. So I approach anything I read with caution in that sense. What’s the underlying motive? Is it to get me to question the authority of the Bible? Hope not. Enjoyed the read anyway, but as a reminder to myself and all – guard your mind and your heart!
